The mission of Atwood Family Medical Center and Chesapeake Executive Family Care is to provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare in a competent and compassionate manner. For 31 years Atwood Family Medical Center has been the local choice for conscientious medical care. We have served the families of Chesapeake and Hampton Roads as if they were part of our neighborhood — because in some cases, they’re actually our neighbors!
The majority of the staff are local to the Hampton Roads area and are committed to community involvement projects. For instance, our office is a teaching office where both Dr. Atwood and Dr. DeGuzman, as well as our Nurse Practitioners, have students training in our office to complete their student internships for ODU and EVMS — some students have even transitioned to full-time staff members.
